August 7 2026, 5-7 PM

Our August Salon will delve into The Chronicles (1953-1978), Feliks Topolski’s seminal publishing project spanning over 15 volumes. Today, these historic publications are highly prized collectors' items, and are preserved in esteemed cultural and academic institutions worldwide.

Artist in Residence Alice Angusand Project Archivist Cecilia Borgenstam will continue introducing Feliks Topolski’s extraordinary legacy by sharing new discoveries and work from the archive.

We will track Topolski's artistic and graphic development by looking at how the physical issues of the Chronicle evolved over the decades. We will also explore what made the Chronicle such a desirable collectible, discuss his creative motivation, and look directly at findings from the archive, including samples from Feliks's personal writings about the project.

We will look at some other examples of accessible sharing and publishing and get hands-on workshop with making zine and creative book folding that empower us to create, produce and share independent publications using everyday materials.

This event is FREE, but booking is essential.
